Kacey was a professional counselor who helped people in trouble and had a passion for volleyball. She is survived by her son, her parents, six siblings, and nineteen nieces and nephews.
A Life of Service and Compassion
Kacey was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, where she attended the Mesa public schools and showed remarkable academic and athletic achievements. She played volleyball for Yavapai College and later graduated with a master’s degree in Professional Counseling. She worked with various populations with challenging needs within the communities, such as homeless, addicted, and mentally ill people. She was able to empathize and lead them to change, according to Bunker Family Funerals & Cremation.
Kacey also created a facility called “Kacey’s Kloset”, where she provided grooming and clothing needs for her clients. She loved seeing progress with her clients in every positive way, her obituary says. She was a caring and compassionate person who touched many lives with her kindness and generosity.
A Mysterious Illness That Took Her Away
Kacey had been suffering from a long-term illness that remained undiagnosed until her death. Her father, Rusty Bowers, who is the speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives, said in a Facebook post that Kacey had been ill for a long time and had undergone many tests and treatments, but none of them worked. He said that she was in constant pain and discomfort, but she never complained or gave up hope.
Kacey’s illness also affected her son Lorenzo, who had to take care of her while attending college. Lorenzo, who is 20 years old, had to balance his studies, his job, and his mother’s needs. He said that he learned a lot from his mother, such as how to be strong, resilient, and optimistic. He said that he was proud of her and that he would miss her dearly, according to Distractify.
Kacey’s cause of death is still unknown, but her family and friends believe that she is now in a better place, free from pain and suffering. They also hope that her legacy of service and compassion will inspire others to help those in need and make a positive difference in the world.
