Dawson Reeves Twining was a 27-year-old man from Bishopville, Maryland, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 3, 2015. He was the youngest son of David and Janet Twining, owners of Nantuckets Restaurant and the Lobster Shanty, two popular eateries in Fenwick Island, Delaware. He was also the brother of Delaney Twining and the owner of two dogs, Zelda and Stella.
Dawson was a 2006 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School, where he played varsity football and golf. He attended Towson University after high school. He was known for his enthusiasm for life, his wonderful smile, his infectious personality, and his charismatic way. He had a large number of great friends and touched the lives of many people during his short time. He was the original “kid” on Comcast’s Kidzone program and the original “Monkey Man”.
How did Dawson Twining die?
According to the Ocean City Police Department, Dawson Twining was found unresponsive at a residence on Barge Road in north Ocean City at about 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015. Police officers and EMS personnel performed CPR on him, but he was pronounced dead at Atlantic General Hospital. An autopsy was conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, but the cause of death was not released to the public. The police said they were investigating the death as a “suspicious incident”.
