Auston Michael Rash, 18, of Vilonia, Arkansas, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 10, 2024, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock. The cause of his death was a car accident that occurred on the same day. Rash was a beloved son, brother, friend, and student who touched many lives with his kindness, humor, and passion.

A Bright and Talented Young Man

Rash was born on June 6, 2006, to Michael and Jennifer Rash. He had two sisters, Alyssa and Addison, and a brother, Austin. He attended Vilonia High School, where he was a senior and a member of the band, choir, and drama club. He was also involved in the youth group at Vilonia First Assembly of God Church.

Rash had a wide range of interests and talents, from music and theater to sports and video games. He played the saxophone, guitar, and piano, and enjoyed singing and acting. He was a fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his girlfriend, Kayla.

Rash had a bright future ahead of him, as he planned to attend the University of Central Arkansas and pursue a degree in music education. A Tragic and Unexpected Loss

Rash’s life was cut short by a tragic car accident that occurred on Tuesday, August 10, 2024, around 3:30 p.m. According to the Arkansas State Police, Rash was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion on Highway 64 near Vilonia, when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. Rash was transported to St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Silverado, a 52-year-old man from Conway, was also injured and taken to the hospital.

The news of Rash’s death shocked and saddened the Vilonia community, as many people expressed their grief and condolences on social media and other platforms. Rash’s family, friends, classmates, teachers, and church members remembered him as a loving, caring, and fun-loving person who always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell.
